This is my first robot vacuum. I did hours of research, asked friends about there’s, and this is what I landed on. It had everything I was looking for:Pros:Large battery- Cleans 1600 sq ft with only 40% battery (on the standard silent mode).2 side sweepers. I don’t know how others run with just one, seems like it wouldn’t sweep all the walls if it were going the wrong directions.Big trash bin. You’ll still probably want to empty it every time. Easy.Ap control works, but see cons.S-shaped cleaning pattern. It looks around first, splits it’s cleaning pattern into I would say 400 sq ft segments, and then does one area at a time. Weird but effective.It turns into a mop with the attachment!Around $200 is extremely cheap for a vacuum that has it all. Again see cons.Cons: The app could use a little bit of work. Only thing I have trouble with is that the map changes with every clean. If you need to rescue it, it won’t know where it is anymore, and it creates a 4th dimension in your map. Rooms will be added, walls will double…it seems like a reality shift. It would be a huge improvement if the map was a “one and done” deal, or had an Add/Delete area option. Only thing you can do is clear the map and start over. That’s fine. Only time it really affects you is if you want it to clean a specific area and you deleted the map.Also, I’ve seen reviews with maps that are diamond shaped. If that happens, clear the map, put the dock against a wall WITH the vacuum on it, and then press clean. It should redo your map in a nice square orientation, where you can make useful red zones. I think those faulty maps were created by just putting the vacuum down somewhere randomly and pressing clean.The “red zones” options is great, but limited to 5 areas I believe. Use one for stools or it WILL get caught on the slant.Conclusion:Over all I’m impressed. I love watching the ap while Im away and seeing the very clean S- shaped lines. The 4th dimension stuff gets a pass from me, since if I want to spot clean real quick, I’ll just use a broom. Unless you are more OCD than most, you’ll love it.
I have had 2 dumb robot vacuums over the years. They bumped around the room, getting stuck under furniture and when wedged into corners. So, I was skeptical of getting another robot vacuum but the Tesvor S6 with lidar is a total game changer. Can’t say enough good things about it. The lidar maps the room(s) perfectly and the Tesvor S6 never gets stuck. It has good suction and cleans up good amounts of dust. It runs very very quietly. The battery life is great. The associated smart app works great (but could use a bit more documentation about placing restricted zones)After easily downloading a pairing the associated WeBack app you run the vacuum for the first time and it will map the periphery of the room or rooms with Lidar. It also detects obstacles. You only need to do this mapping once. After defining the periphery of the rooms to draw a map on the app, the robot moves back and forth in straight lines covering the defined area perfectly. It continues to sense any obstacles with Lidar and perfectly navigates around them without ever getting stuck. Using the app, and after the first mapping/cleaning run, you can place or remove lines to temporarily block movement into one or more room by selecting custom cleaning in the app. You can also place or remove an adjustable rectangular area or draw lines for a restricted zone of any shape within a room. There is one place in my room with a large plastic chair stand that the robot has difficulties maneuvering around or over so I just restrict that area using the app. Works great. You can change the lines and restricted areas between uses using the custom cleaning app feature without the robot needing to remap the rooms.I’m very very happy with the Tesvor S6. I have run it on low pile carpet and marble flooring. I don’t have pets but it works great on dust in carpets and picks up human hair in the bathroom. Don’t think twice about buying it. It’s a great device at a great price.
I bought the Tesvor X500 years ago, and while it still works, it was time for an upgrade & man is this an upgrade.This is a true smart mapping/cleaning vacuum. When it starts, it makes an outline of the area(I’d say roughly a couple hundred sq ft) it is cleaning. It then stays within that outline until it has cleaned every inch, using the infrared to be sure to avoid any obstacles ( it’s not perfect with it, but it avoids it 95% of the time first go around). After it’s vacuumed that entire area, it then makes an outline of another area and repeats the process. It never goes back into an area it’s already cleaned and seems to know different flooring. When it’s done cleaning, it goes right back to the charger, unlike other robo-vacs that just keep going until the battery is low then struggle to find where the charger is. I also love that with the bigger battery, it can clean my whole downstairs on normal mode and only use about 40-50% of its charge.The only real con I will say is that this vacuum cannot go over rugs like my x500 can. It gets stuck on my kitchen rugs, and inside doormats which are very thin and flat. With that said I have an area rug in the living room and it goes over that just fine. Might be because it’s a thicker heavier rug so it can’t be pulled up as easily.All-in-all I’m very impressed with the vacuum and would 100% suggest it to anyone.
Got this robot vacuum at a great price considering it has lidar navigation. I previously had a Neato D3 that wouldn’t connect to the internet so was pretty worthless to me. So, even though this robot isn’t perfect it was enormous improvement from what I had. Here is a list of the Pro’s and Con’s:Pro:1. Great obstacle avoidance and maneuverability around furniture.2. Seems to have really good battery life (but I ran it mostly in night mode which the app defaulted to -more on that in the con’s section).3. Easy and fast to connect. Was really easy to setup the robot vac.4. Great price! (when I got it at least, looks like it went up in price)5. Noise level is acceptableCon’s:1. Has trouble on carpet. It seems to slow down and labor at medium pile carpet.2. The app has some quirks that I couldn’t live with. The map it generates in the app is skewed which creates problem with creating boxed off areas. It lacks functions and features of the Roborock S5 Max that I ended up buying. To me the app is the achilles heal of the robot vacuum.3. The spinning brushes up front seem to scatter the debris more so than actually help it vacuum it up.Overall, this is a pretty good robot vacuum, and would be one of the best if the app gets upgraded.
